Critique for possible purchase

Postby Kristal on Mon Nov 30, 2009 2:32 pm

I'm looking at purchasing a mare that I'd be buying sight unseen (she's about 10 hours away). I'd love to get some feedback from anyone who's willing to help! If you PM me I can send you a link to the pictures and video.

My mobile internet has died :( so I'm stuck using dial up right now and haven't been able to watch the videos yet (I can only get about 2 frames per hour!).

Also, if anyone happens to know of an economical shipping option from Dawson Creek to Golden please let me know :D

Krastal seriously you have made the plunge. There is only one person here worthy of your investment. We all are waiting to see how well you did buying unseen. If the animal had a long neck I would have been cooked. So I am no help, we all know who you need. Don't ask us fine talk your help to Mercedes is what is needed. You should have pm her and offered her a deal as you are the site holder lol I am sending her teas and saddle soap lol. She should have her name in blue. She will let you know how to set up a program as you have already sent the money right?
You have one of the top women I know of evaluating here in BC

Sight unseen, eh? LOL! I've done that a time or two. My Andalusian stallion came from Alberta sight unseen...all I had was a couple of crappy 4x6 photos to go by.

Kristal I live in Gundy which is just East of Pouce Coupe and Dawson Creek...if you email the information I could go out and have a look at her for you? I am certainly no conformation guru but could maybe take some more pictures and have a look at her environment. Look her over and make sure sure is walking okay with no visable injuries or scars? Just a thought...if you are interested email me @ almacfarm@telus.net Lori

No, I sold him a few years back. My broodmare band and foal crop were wiped out one year, and I just didn't have the heart to regroup. I've lost track of him as well...the lady I sold him to died within a year of having him, and have no idea who her partner sold him to.

Sorry to hear mercedes,I am thinking of asking but then am thinking I do not want to know . Heartache is heartache and when the story is told we all feel it especially when we consider your knowledge concerning conformation and ability.
On a better note what is happening with this new mare we are curious and want to see pics.lol
Hard work is ahead of me here for a bit and might not be able to respond. So want to have a bunch of responses I can come back to and see.

Thank you everyone for your help, and thank you vifarmgirl for your generous offer to go see her! I've decided to pass on this mare from Dawson Creek and I'm sure glad I did because....

I'm the proud new owner of a gorgeous Trakehner mare who I'm absolutely in love with! She was well worth the wait ;) I'll start a new thread with some pictures.

Thanks again everyone :D
